The structure exists of a steel tube in the middle providing a longitudinal stiff ness to the bridgedeck. It has a width of 6.5m, a length of 38.25m and a height that varies between 0.5 and 0.8m along the span and is regularly divided in partitions by steel plates every 4.25m. At both sides there are cantilever HEM-profi les with a length of 6.85m, so that the total width of the bridge is 13.35m. Longitudinal sti ffeners are provided at the upper side of the tube, and between the HEM-profi les. The bridge is supported by four neoprene bearings which allow small displacements. The horizontal movements of three corner points are permitted and one point is fi xed. The bridgedeck is finished with wood and has a metal railing at both sides.

Extra information

The identified modal parameters will be used to design two different tuned mass dampers in order to reduce the effect of resonance with the first natural frequency of the bridge.
