The footbridge is located in Brussels, at the `Eugène Verboekhoven' square, forming a safe passage across the railway passing through the city. This footbridge is situated in an urban environment, which indicates a dense trac of pedestrians. The bridge has a span of 22.7m and is only supported at the both ends of the structure. The cross section of the bridge consists of two main beams. These beams are constructed with metallic plates which form a tube-like section. The distance between these main beams varies along the span of the bridges. The bridge deck also consists of reinforced metallic plates supported by transversal beams.
